On September 16 the IV Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Manufacturers took place in Astana devoted to the theme "Developed mechanical engineering - competitive Kazakhstan" with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Mazhilis (Parliament) of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 108 delegates from 20 countries of the world.

A modern parking machine called Geta was developed at «Ifen» robotic technology factory in China. The machine operates completely independently without the need to be supervised by a human.
On May 20 the National Programming Olympiad was held in Kazakhstan arranged by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and «Love To Code» Programming School under the support of the Kazakhstan Association of Automation and Robotics, Internet Association of Kazakhstan and Suleiman Demirel University.
On May 3 an international competition «WSIS Project Prizes 2016» was held in Geneva as part of the Forum of the World Summit on the Information Society where Kazakhstani Project «Data Processing Centers for Public Authorities» was recognized as the best project in the «Information and Communication Structure» Category.
