II Republican KazRoboSport-2017 sports robotics Championship and II Republican KazRoboProject-2017 Competition of scientific and technical projects on robotics qualifying stages have started in Kazakhstan on March 27.

At the end of March, the qualifying stages of the II Republican KazRoboSport-2017 sports robotics Championship and the Republican KazRoboProject-2017 Competition on robotics organized by the KazRobotics Federation with the purpose of popularizing educational and sports robotics in the country among the Kazakhstan citizens, started in the cities of Kazakhstan.

Selection rounds will be held in 14 cities of Kazakhstan:

  27 MARCH  

  East Kazakhstan Region

  29 APRIL  

  North Kazakhstan Region

  MAY  

  South Kazakhstan Region, West Kazakhstan Region,
  Aktobe, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Mangistau, Zhambyl, Pavlodar,
  Atyrau, Kostanay and Almaty regions

  JUNE  

  Akmola region (Astana)


The Final stage among the winners of qualifying stages for the regions will be held in September of this year in Aktobe.

According to the organizers, this year it is expected about 500 participants from all over Kazakhstan and only one national team at the finish.

The Republican KazRoboSport Championship on sports robotics is intended for schoolchildren and students aged 10 to 21 years. The championship is held in three age categories:

  1. The younger group - from 10 to 15 years.
  2. The senior group - from 16 to 21 years.
  3. The general group is from 10 to 21 years.

This year, KazRoboSport-2017 competitions will be held in such formats like race on the lines, robosumo, robofootball, kegelring and biathlon. Everything is like in classical sports, only participants are robots controlled by their creators.

Schoolchildren and students aged 10 to 21 can take part in the Republican KazRoboProject contest of scientific and technical projects on robotics. The subject of projects is free without any restrictions - the main thing is an innovative solution of social problem.

According to the results of the Championship, national teams will be formed to participate in international competitions and contests. Winners will also receive a financial reward.
