On March 30-31, Kazakhstan’s largest international festival of robotics, programming and innovative technologies ROBOLAND 2018 will be held in Karaganda. More than 400 teams from different countries will gather to compete in 32 nominations at the sports complex «Zhastar».
05/3/2018 Kazakhstan newsOnce again, guests and residents of Karaganda will immerse in the world of robotics and innovative technologies for 2 days, meeting on March 30-31 at the IV International Festival of robotics, programming and innovative technologies ROBOLAND 2018.
Since 2015 the ROBOLAND Festival has been a platform for popularization of educational robotics among school and college students, development and association of communities in this field as well as enhancement of creative activity of teachers, students and schoolchildren. This year, ROBOLAND for the first time expands the content of the event, including such disciplines as programming and innovative technologies in addition to robotics.
More than 400 teams from different countries are expected to take part in the International Festival in 32 nominations. For example, in 2017 392 teams took part in 24 nominations. It is more than 800 participants.
In addition to the main competitions, within these two days there will traditionally be held an exhibition of robotics and innovative technologies, robots show as well as seminars from leading Kazakhstani and foreign specialists and teachers in the field of robotics, programming and innovative technologies. This time the festival will be visited by a record number of well-known specialists, including the author of popular books on robotics Viktor Petin, the best Russian STEM-teacher Julia Ponyatovskaya, the director of the Moscow "Kulibin-center" Svetlana Shipovskaya and others.
Within the framework of ROBOLAND 2018, a round table named «Digital transformation of education: the competence of the future» will take place, where about 200 specialists from different countries, including the president of the Kazakhstani Association of Automation and Robotics Vladimir Turekhanov, will take part.
