The Kazakhstan Association of Automation and Robotics (KAAR) has become a partner of the National Programming Olympiad for Grade 5-6 students. The Olympiad will be held online on May 20, 2016 all over Kazakhstan. «Love To Code» Programming School of Almaty is the organizer of the event.
18/5/2016 News / Association newsThe National Virtual Olympiad on Programming on CodeMonkey platform for Grade 5-6 students will be held on May 20 in Kazakhstan under support of «Atameken» National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Association of Automation and Robotics, the Internet Association of Kazakhstan and «Shag» Computer Academy. The Olympiad is conducted to demonstrate students that modern programming is a simple but fascinating subject. Based on results of the Olympiad a, «natural interest to programming» index will be calculated for cities and regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan which will be then available for all concerned persons and institutions. This will allow revealing regions where talented children good at programming reside.
All private and public schools of the country can take part in the Olympiad by sending a letter to e-mail: olympiada@lovetocode.kz or leaving an application for participation on the official website of the Olympiad https://www.lovetocode.org/olympiada.html up to May 19, 2016 inclusive. In addition, each participant should register on CodeMonkey website - httpss://www.playcodemonkey.com
CodeMonkey is an interactive educational website where each participant without programming experience can learn how to code using CoffeeScript. This means participants do not have to be able to work with any programming languages. And during the period from May 16 to May 19 all participants will have a chance to practice in programming by completing a test task on CodeMonkey website.
For convenience of students studying in different shifts the Virtual Olympiad will be held on May 20 from 10:00 to 11:00 and from 15:00 to 16:00. The test task in the electronic form will be placed on the official website of the Olympiad on May 20 at 9:00. Results will be posted up to May 31.
According to the organizers – «Love To Code» Programming School – as of today over 1100 participants from 12 regions of the country have registered.
