This year’s central themes were robotization and the adoption of advanced technologies.

The Forum traditionally serves as a key dialogue platform bringing together representatives of government, business, and international partners to discuss pressing issues of the machine-building industry’s development, the introduction of innovations, and the expansion of industrial cooperation.

As part of the event’s business program, KAAR representatives took part in the plenary session and specialized panel sessions devoted to robotization, digitalization, and the introduction of advanced technologies in industry. The discussions covered the industry’s development prospects, workforce training, and the integration of modern automation solutions into production processes.

During the forum, at the panel session “Robotization and Digitalization in Industry,” a strategic partnership and distribution agreement was signed between KAAR member Quality Technologies LLP (Republic of Kazakhstan) and Estun Robotics (People’s Republic of China). The agreement is aimed at localizing engineering competencies, developing service and technical support for Estun Robotics industrial robots and solutions in the markets of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, and training Kazakhstani specialists to work with modern robotic systems.

The session was moderated by Vladimir Turekhanov, President of KAAR and Member of the Management Board of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry. The session was attended by representatives of government bodies, business, and the academic and research communities from various countries. Of particular note was the lively discussion in which participants exchanged views and positions on the development and adoption of robotic solutions. The conversation continued for more than two hours after the session officially ended — right up until the closing of the EXPO International Exhibition Center.

KAAR representatives also held a number of business meetings and negotiations with colleagues from Kazakhstan, China, Germany, and other countries, outlining new avenues for cooperation and the exchange of experience.

A separate highlight was the Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 international exhibition, held from April 1 to 3, which showcased modern technological solutions, equipment, and developments in machine building and industrial automation. The exhibition brought together more than 250 companies from 24 countries, and its exposition covered the key areas of machine building — from metalworking equipment and welding technologies to automation, robotization, and digital solutions for manufacturing.

At the stand of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, domestic integrators (Vexor LLP and Arcobo LLP) presented robotic solutions for industry and education. The stand was visited by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yersaiyn Nagaspayev. Following the visit, the Head of Government issued a number of instructions to the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan — in particular, to explore introducing dedicated codes for robotics-related activities in the national classifiers of economic activities and products and, as part of the implementation of the Digital Qazaqstan strategy, to include in the action plan a dedicated section on incentivizing robotization among small and medium-sized businesses.
