On May 15, 2025, the Kazakhstan Association of Automation and Robotics (KAAR) marks its tenth anniversary. This is a significant milestone not only for the Association itself, but also for the entire robotics sector, which today plays an increasingly important role in the country's economy.

KAAR was founded in 2015 by an initiative group of private companies — pioneers striving to develop automation and robotics in Kazakhstan systematically. Since then, the Association has become a recognized expert platform actively involved in the country's technological transformation. We unite those who do not wait for the future but create it — consciously, strategically, and with an understanding of national priorities.

Over the past years, robot density in Kazakhstan has more than tripled. Close cooperation has been established with government bodies and the private sector. With KAAR’s active involvement, four national standards in the field of robotics have been initiated, developed, and officially adopted.

As an accredited association under the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KAAR has provided hundreds of expert reviews on draft regulatory legal acts.

Every year, with KAAR’s direct involvement in preparation and organization, a dedicated session on industrial robotics is held within the framework of the Kazakhstan Machinery Forum, organized by the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan.

The Association also actively participates in the annual Digital Almaty forum, which features an exhibition of robotic solutions and a thematic panel session on robotics. The forum is attended by the Prime Ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.

As part of an international consortium, KAAR took part in the creation of the Industrial Robotics Competence Center in Almaty.

With a deep understanding of current needs and market prospects — both domestically and internationally — the Association maintains stable ties with both domestic and global manufacturers and integrators of robotic systems, and consistently works to localize robotic solutions within Kazakhstan.

We believe that robotics is not an end in itself, but a powerful tool for enhancing competitiveness and economic resilience. Kazakhstan faces serious challenges, and action must be taken today.

We thank everyone who has been and remains with us on this journey — members of the Association, our partners, experts, supporters, and critics. Your ideas, support, and engagement help us move forward. Together, we continue to shape a future where technology serves people and contributes to a better quality of life.
